I played A LOT when I was unemployed and I'm basically an insomniac. I believe you on the hours especially if you get paid. Not normal to choose it when you don't have to. I had no extra money to participate in much so I just rolled with life. After bringing in steady money, seemed a waste to play games where I can be an expert head shot in game and not in real life (I can. USMC expert). Skydiving, camping, learning to make a robot which is surprisingly easy, etc. And sex is always fun. Anyway, all day at certain times, ok. Everyday? No. You're missing the point of being alive.
