  • Personally, I (not the OP) find that I gain quite a lot from games. I gain joy, I gain inspiration, I gain lots of great quotes, and I gain the ability to recommend games that can give others joy, inspiration, and great quotes.

    • Clunk.
I can relate to a point.
I can see, sitting on your ass doing nothing for a few hours to unwind.
      Thats t.v. in general.
      Did you read the post?
      Hes an ADDICT, doing it
      ALL DAY,
      EVERY DAY.
      That's not healthy.

      • You're right. It's not healthy. I don't even know how someone could have fun playing the same game all day. I've been playing Baldur's Gate recently, and I can't stand more than a few hours of that game without getting bored.

        • A hobby is one thing, addiction is another.
Thats why I come down hard about it.

          • No game is a hobby, or anything to ever be proud of. As someone who plays games, I keep it hidden like a shameful family secret.

            • If you beat a really hard game, you do have something to be proud of. For example, if you beat the original Baldur's Gate 2 on the hardest difficulty without loading a previous save, then you have every right to brag about it.

            • Raisin.
Taking a break is nothing to hide, or be ashamed of.
We all have our ways to relax.
But, when that thing becomes an addiction.
or as adult you live a false life.
Because you have no real one.
              Then it becomes an issue.
As, sooner or later those folks become a drag on society.
