Me too, however it is considered very disgusting here in Laos and Thailand as well as licking your fingers after cake etc. Except in major centres, people splash water up their arse from a small bowl and using their hand, wash out the ol'black hole. More often than not, there is no soap either. Anyway don't do it over this way on a holiday else they'll think you're rather gross.
