So basically I watch a lot of shows, and I don't care about what happens to anyone but, the old people. It's so sad to see old people cry and get insulted. I don't know why it just seems odd.

    Like children, old people are often vulnerable and less competent. This is likely why you feel bad for them.

      You misread it. I did not say I cried I said it's sad to see the old people cry. I don't usually cry over fictional characters.

          Well I do cry sometimes and sometimes I'm insulted, but I'm definitely not fragile except very very occasionally and when I am I just hide away until I'm strong again.

          I doubt if OP is talking about tough oldies like you and me, but you can't deny old people are treated very badly in lots of ways. Personally, I'm not sticking around for the nursing home, are you?
