Is it normal that i only dream when i have a crush on someone?

For as long as I can remember I extremely rarely had(or at least remembered) dreams and it wasn't until the past year or so that I noticed that the rare dreams only occur when I am completely smitten with someone. These dreams don't always involve the person I have the crush on. From a very young age I had sleep issues I mostly attribute the lack of dreams to this but I don't know anymore. Is this normal?

        idk, i guess i find it awesome because in a way, that person is able exhibit power over their dreams to some extent.

    The same happens to me. Whenever I have a crush on someone or have a new/intense relationship, I always remember the dreams very vividly or intensely. Same goes for when we break up.

    Although I don't exactly agree with that(I'm not debating over this as it isn't relevant), my question was involving the fact that I only remember them when I have a crush.

    I remember my dreams all the time and I always have. When I have a good crush on someone, they do tend to be more intense though. Maybe it's all those pleasurable chemicals in your body and brain that are stimulating the extra activity.
