Is it normal that i need to be doing something with my hands in class?

When I'm just listening or waiting for the rest of the class to finish their test, I need my hands to be holding or doing something. I tend to spin my pen around in my fingers like drummers do with drumsticks. If I'm not holding something my hands are typically together. I much prefer to be holding something though. I don't make any noise with my fidgeting so it at least doesn't bother anyone and I only do this in class. For example: I have no problem with keeping my hands still in a movie theatre. I think it's the fact that classes are extremely bright, everyone sits relatively close to the middle and it can get beyond quiet when you're not allowed to talk which doesn't exactly make it the easiest place to relax.
