I miss having braces and getting to put colorful rubberbands in my mouth. Most people hate them but I didnt! I thought they were like accseories. And now all I have is a gross clear retainer.
I miss mine too! I loved mine, they completed me. But I feel a whole lot better now!:) no worries you'll get used to not having them around!:)
i miss mine like crazy! i hate wearing retainers too! so that might be why..
I hated when I got mine taken off too. I've been without them since my junior year of HS, and I remember missing them for a while also. I used to love going in to change the colors.
The part where you said that you thought of your braces and the different colours as accessories made me smile. I always stick with the clear rubber bands because I'm 18 and I think neon colors would just look really bad for a person as old as I am but maybe I might go with some color every now and then just to be matchy, matchy.
I've heard several people say that when they first got their braces off they missed having them.
I'm wearing top and bottom metal braces right now with neon baby blue powerchains and a total of 5 rubberbands in my mouth to be worn 22 hours a day. Many people would call that torture but for some reason I love the "pulling" feeling. It's not painful, it's just a "pulling" feeling that I know I am going to miss. I also really like how they feel when I rub my tongue on all that metal and rubberbands. It became a habit I developed. Sounds weird but I guess I got used to it and prefer that "metallic" feeling instead of plain old boring teeth. But I won't miss my expander that's screwed to the roof of my mouth with 4 screws and I definitely won't miss my head gear and tongue spurs. Now those are pure torture!
I hated them. How they'd rub the inside of my mouth raw. And give me cavities. And hurt like hell when they'd tighten them. You get food in them. And girls don't want u to kiss them or go down on them because they think they're gonna get stuck lol. The only thing I miss about them is they'd keep my mouth closed when I sleep. Now my mouth falls open and I drool everywhere because it got used to it being handed shut now my jaw is all lazy.
