Im from Africa but i now leave in america. Well in the part of africa that i come from its ok to marry a first couson. Even my religon says that its ok so long as we didnt grow up together like brother and sister. I know the results of insest but i really do love him. He's my first love and he make me feel like the most important person in his life. If love really is blind then are the feelings that i have for him normal?

    It's normal, in my culture it's the same way. And my uncle married his first cousin. And he has two beautiful and extremely Smart girls. So dont listen to the ignorant people.

    Don't be so mean people! First of all, she grew up in a place where it wasn't looked down on, and really, you've never heard of someone having the hots for a cousin before? I'm not saying go through with it. The risk of abnormalities in children is a serious concern, but you don't have to be rude about it.

    i'm curious. when y'all see "special" children at the grocery store, movie, department store, school, do you automatically think their parents are brother and sister? there are a lot of "special" children out there whose parents are no way closely related. just wondering.
