I do this with the girl I like too, so I think it's normal. It's normal to imagine the future and be optimistic about life, but I wouldn't say it's necessarily a good thing. I get stressed out about it and have to bring myself back down to earth by distracting myself, if things tend to go wrong (as they have done a little). Try take your mind off of it, concentrate on the present!
