I scored 32 on the ACT. I'm not going to post my IQ.
I had a D average in high school, and made four failed attempts at college.
High school was a social event for me.
My first attempt at secondary education was in art school. I was ostracized by the rest of the class because I couldn't stand listening to Wham and Culture Club...and I chewed tobacco.
My second attempt was a party...like high school, but with adult freedom.
My third attempt was at a trade school in the profession I still work in...I got a job in it so I dropped.
My fourth attempt I was in my upper 20s, and took it seriously. Majored in psychology. I was an Honor Student. My wife got pregnant, so I had to focus on work...with a mouth to feed, and responsibility becoming a priority, I had to work overtime to make ends meet. I'm still there. 26 years later.
My dad was a college professor with a PHD in Zoology, my mom was a teacher with a Masters in Childhood Development. My oldest brother made "Who's Who of American Universities," and my other brother was a Merit Finalist. I fix semi trucks...but I'm really good at it.. hahaha
Obviously, with an IQ of 122, you're quite bright. Find your niche and be the best at it.
Is it normal that i'm very smart, but not good at school?
