Is it normal that i'm very interested in sex but i'm scared of it?

I am an 18 year old female and I think about sex and sexual situations a lot, but I am scared to actually have sex. I was sexually abused when I was younger so I have some issues. I really want to have sex but I'm afraid the guy will try and hurt me. Because of this I have in the past acted sexually towards animals because they can't hurt me. Is this normal?

    You're of age but... you're now learning that being of age doesn't always mean you're mentally ready to start a sexual relationship with another adult.

    It's OK to wait until you feel ready completely - in body and mind together.

    But ya, if that happens it will not be as bad. Your insecuritys will go away. I mean, ya if you have sex with a complete stranger he could abuse you. No question.

    Your fear is normal after that kind of experience, sex with animals happens but is not exactly normal. It's hard but you need to realize not all guys are like that
