Is it normal that i'm uncertain about this?

You see, to a degree I want to have a child when I'm older (In my 30s or 40s) and to another degree I don't want to become a mother and just have dogs instead. Is it normal to be struggling with making this decision? Should I stick with dogs or have a child in the future?
