Is it normal that I'm terrified of giving birth?

  • Hi all! I think it's normal because you passed through a traumatizing event wow! I have two kids and my first was 6 lbs 3 oz and I was cut it wasn't that bad. Honeslty the pain of feeling like your going to rip hurt me most. My second was 7 lbs 3 oz and no ripping or cutting. Idk I love my kids and I feel that they were worth it. So I think that you should just find a doctor that you can trust. Ask him, what will you do if it looks like I'm going to rip? I didn't and now I wish I would have. Because my cousin delivered her baby with another doctor that's shares practice with my doctor and she said that her doctor helped her, because it looked like she was going to rip too, until she delivered without ripping or cutting. My doctor first sign of danger cut!! Again it was much easier to deliver my baby after that and my recovery was normal. So I think that when you find a doctor that you'll feel comfortable with, when you do have babies, you'll feel more confortable knowing that he'll do his best to take care of you and your baby. Have you considered C-section?
