It is perfectly normal to be afraid of giving birth. If you don't want to give birth to a large baby, then don't overeat during pregnancy. Ignore the old wives' tale that you're eating for two and try not to gain more than around 20 pounds.
Another thing, if a woman is small and the man who fathers her baby is a great deal taller, the baby will likely be large. Keep this in mind when picking a mate and choose a man your height or no more than 2 or 3 inches taller.
