Holy Hell! Your experience is so like mine that for a moment I thought I created this poll!! I live in fear too. I don't know about what's the reason for yours but I have spent a lot of time introspecting and I think the root cause of mine lies in my childhood. Growing up my father was not at all supportive. He was always angry and mistrusting. Now, as an adult, I have these fears and insecurities. In addition the the ones you have listed I am also afraid of women, that they might accuse me of rape or sexual harassment. I have lived in fear my entire life!
I'm glad I'm not the only one, that's a comfort at least. I hear so much about innocent people being accused, convicted and jailed for crimes they didn't commit, and I worry that it will happen to me. My fear is not crippling, but I do take great pains to make sure I'm not in situations where I could be accused.
Is it normal that I'm terrified of being falsely accused?
