Before I go to pee or poop I always check behind the shower curtain to see if there is anyone behind it. I CAN'T HELP IT. I HAVE to do it! No matter how urgent it is, I ALWAYS check! Even if I know nobody is in the house, I still check. Also, if the shower curtain is open I always close it before I go. It just feels like someone can see me through the wall with the shower curtain open. Is it normal to be this paranoid???
Actually I just spoke to my psychiatrist the other day about OCD and I DO know what it is. There's degrees of it, as well as different types of it. Most idiots think it's only counting things, obsessive rituals, etc but there's so many different types and defferent manifestations of it that the average dolt has no clue about.
It's just a quirk... I used to do the same thing, but I would need the curtain to be open. I would call people in to come open it for me because I was just freaked out that something was going to happen, or I was going to find something terrible behind the curtain. It eventually passed, not sure if I got over it, or it was because I moved or what, but it faded and went away with time. A long time, but time no the less.
I was taking a pee at a party once when all of the sudden a shower curtain beside me was ripped open, and somebody proceeded to puke in my lap. As I sometimes sit to pee when I am super wasted so as not to piss all over somebody's floor (let the "sits to pee" jokes ensue)
Since that day, I have never peed with the shower curtain closed beside me, sitting or standing!
For some reason this reminds me of a time when I was five and playing hide and seek I hid in the shower and shut the curtain. Children of earth heed my warning and don't hide there. Your dads friend might come in plop down and take a dump. I had no time to make my presence known only time to plug my ears and bury my nose in my arm. Holding perfectly still until it was over. It obviously traumatized me 26 years later its one of my earliest memories. So good for you for checking. You might just save a innocent five year old a world of horror.
