Its not a hysterectomy. She kept everything. What the ablation does is cauterize all the blood vessels on the uterine wall which stops the cycle. At times she would still get a mild cramp or 2. She already had a tubal so it's not a issue there. But if you want children I don't think you can get it done. But as for menopause that didn't start for about 8 years later. She was 36 when she got it and started getting the symptoms of menopause at around 42 or so.. hot flashes and night sweating, etc.

If she's had no periods since does that mean that she coincidentally went into memopause or did they remove the entire uterus? Just asking ...
