I'm still puzzled: why would a doctor recommend regular ultrasounds unless there had been symptoms to indicate the need?
They can shrink, they can also grow: someone close to me recently had one removed which about the size of a coconut and would you believe the surgeon photographed it on his phone and texted it to her!!!! She'd had very heavy periods for years previously and bc of the size they had to remove her uterus too - fortunately not her ovaries or she wuold've gone into premature menopause
You know what pisses me off? How so many women's medical issues are ignored for years when they could just be death with straight away. I swear if men had coconut sized things growing in their balls they wouldn't tell them to " just wait band see if it shrinks". Sorry off topic but I hate how women are expected to put up with medical issues mostly because something is considered ' not that necessary".
Great typo of "death" for dealt! The person I'm talking about was never told to put put with it or wait until it shrinks: it was removed along with her uterus as soon as it was discovered, and if she'd seen a doctor earlier about her very heavy periods it would've been discovered earlier.
Given that fibroids do sometimes shrink and OP's isn't causing any problem unless she wants to get pregnant, I personally think waiting to see is preferable to immediate surgery
My initial thought when I read "size of a coconut" was just how fat this bitch is, I mean I heard she was fat before the but now I picture her as an obscenity.

No symptoms at all.He told me every six months to have an ultrasound.He also told me that if i'm lucky it may shrink.
