Is it normal that i'm really serious about a lot of things?

I'm 16 years old and dead serious about a lot of things, I am definitely more mature then all the kids my age, is it normal to be like this so young? I've always felt more disciplined in my actions and I hate Superficiality and people who are superficial. Could anyone help me with this? Thank you

Saying you hate superficial people is you being superficial aswell. If you're really better than that, than try to help people rather than just boast that you're better than them :-)

You probably have got a more bright intelligence than most people have, you perceive things most people are too mired in the daily mud or too narrow-minded and immediatist to see. Believe me, I know EXACTLY what you're feeling now. My advice: try to find someone like you. When I was in the high school I befriended a guy whose hobbies included heraldry, his notebook had a coat of arms on it with his name and a motto, Tolkien if I'm not mistaken. That was a hint he was a smart guy, plus he had a gentle air, I felt we were two of a kind. And he's one of my heart friends till now.
And in college I have found much more smart people, which really do something with their lives.

I'm not sure where you are going with this, or what you want help with. I think it's fine to be serious if you're happy that way.
