Is it normal that i'm really depressed in the winter?

I feel like in the winter I'm super depressed but when spring finally comes around I feel so much better. I fight with people less, feel better about myself, and am just an all around happier and better person. Is it normal?

This. As a possibbility. Treatment can include daily light therapy which I've heard is effective. If it's having a serious effect on you, then see a doctor for moving toward diagnosis and treatment.

I strongly dislike it when it's too hot. Or when it's too cold. Anything in the middle is perfect! Specially when I'm trying to sleep.

Malaglinir I feel exactly the same. I have like strong anxiety all the time and I'm just constantly pessimistic towards everything and it's really hard cause I used to be one of the happiest people too. Like nothing ever made me mad. I started feeling depressed after me and my boyfriend got in a huge fight and I found out my parents were getting divorced so that could be part of it...

I suffer from winter depression too. I think most people get the blues when it's dark early in the evening and stays dark late in the morning. Snow, freezing temperatures also add to the mental misery. I really hate Christmas. The havoc it causes in the stores and malls is depressing. I could handle Christmas better if it was on the 25th of July.

Happens to me too, I get super self-conscious and lose almost all of my confidence in the winter. My thoughts also become purely pessimistic and full of existential anxiety.

Then when spring comes around I feel on top of the world.
