Your reaction is understandable and I wouldn't call it homophobic. I'm not much of a flirt in real life because I don't always know when someone is just joking or is actually hitting on me. I'm fine flirting with gay men because I'm pretty sure their not serious but if a lesbian or a straight man I'm not interested in is flirting pretty aggressively with me I'm not going to be very comfortable.
