Is it normal that i'm prone to bouts of rage?

Every once in awhile, I'll be doing something small and menial like replacing a shower curtain and if I'm having trouble threading it to the hook, for example, I feel a hot rage wash over my body and I get incredibly angry. I also have went through many PS3 controllers because of this. Whenever I get this way, I feel the need to destroy or break something but more often than not, I just throw a bunch of crap away. Is this normal?

*Rips shower curtain off the rod and dashes it back and forth inside small bathroom*

They have a pill for that. You have what they call "Personality Disorder". Please talk to your doctor about it.

get help, its okay to get frustrated but that could lead to something really bad to happen, have a plan of action for how you will react next time, also, you dont want to scare people away.

My brother has the exact same behavior. We discovered after neurological testing that he had a bruise-like spot on one side of his brain. Since he started medication, there have been little if any further difficulties. So, a good reason may account for some of this. Check it out w a neurologist.

I regularly kick the shit out of something that doesn't want to let me build it. The stuff in IKEA literally quivers with fear when I walk past.

I used to get that way but I relised breaking things doesn't help anything. (unless it's a person you are mad at and it's their stuff).

its normal to feel frustrated by this but probably not to the extent that you need to smash everything around you. try taking your anger out in other ways like going for a run or punching a pillow?
