Is it normal that i'm obsessed with my teacher?

So my choir director is AMAZING. (I will not reveal her name for obvious reasons) We are both females and I am constantly thinking about her. Sometimes I try to draw attention to myself to get her to talk to me. It just seems like an unhealthy obsession. I tell fake stories about her to my friends to make it seem like we are closer. I always worry about her not liking me. What is wrong? Is this normal?

    It is normal to be stimulated by, impressed by, seek validation from teachers. Teachers are often our first heroes. Lying to make people think your relationship is special is not a healthy thing to do, it leads to unhappiness.
