Is it normal that i'm not funny but think i am?

Firstly, there are a few members on here who make very good puns and who I absolutely love! A good pun can have me laughing for ages, so please don't give it up, puns really are great!

But I understand, I deliberately avoid being funny on this site for that reason, along with many others. It's a shame though, because I feel like a huge part of my personality doesn't make it onto IIN.

My advice, keep making puns, if they're good then you'll definitely get a thumbs up from me! Also, if you don't mind me asking, who are you? I have a feeling you may be on my list of the most hilarious pun makers, but I'm not sure:)

Haha I post comments that make me laugh sometimes that go unnoticed. At least I get a chuckle! I think the funniest commenter is Parrish.

As long as you entertain yourself, who cares! For example, my first comment on here I found quite amusing, and I was the ONLY one who felt that way! There will always be people like Spacey, Dappled, Flutterhigh, Parrish, Neuro, Sassyfrassylassie, djpatties, and Saycheese just to name a few! And there will be people like you and me!

Well I don't know who you are so I can't say if you're funny or not. Obviously you'll find your own sense of humour entertaining because it's your own sense of humour. Nothing wrong with laughing at your own jokes sometimes, even if you're the only one laughing :P

Puns are hit and miss. They can be very witty, but if they come across as trying too hard, corny or facetious, they can piss people off. They can also be on a par with cracker jokes. The best ones seem to be SO BAD they're punderful.

Never keep it to yourself. It is just the internet after all.

I have no idea how funny I am to other people. But I giggle constantly at my own musings. I think I just confuse people. Oh well.

I find a lot of people on here hilarious, but I don't always thumbs people up. Chances are more people like your jokes than you think.

I'm flattered to be listed with those two guys, especially as I don't often feel very funny. I'm not the same nationality as most people on this site and a lot of the things I find funny really don't travel well (Vic Reeves Big Night Out is a good example. People translate "surreal" as "weird". I know Monty Python travelled but I think VRBNO is a step too far).

I never know what is going to make people on the site laugh. My favourite things go unnoticed and some of the most banal crap I've ever said in my life gets big whoops.

I can say, though, that I think I know who you are and that you like puns as much as I do. I find you funny but I guess other people like puns less. Maybe it's about having multiple strings to your bow. I'm not going to analyse it too much, though, because as Stan Laurel says, that takes the fun out of it.

While I'm on my soapbox, four of the funniest people on this site are female and not a single one of them gets the credit they deserve. Also, I think the site in general is filled with people who are funnier than average. It's a tough place to ply your comic trade.

Haha, if feel like that sometimes. It's because I have the most ridiculous, goofy, sometimes dark sense of humor :D And yet, the things that most people find funny, I think are annoying.

It is normal. Everyone has a unique sense of humor. Some people like sarcasm while others enjoy a more blunt approach. You can't please everyone.

Personally, I find that I can make a lot of black people laugh. Whenever I am talking to a black person, they seem to find me funny. Of course, this might just mean that black people are quicker to laugh or maybe it's just those specific black people I have met.

Post whatever you want. No one will know your true identity. Really, there are people on here who admit to fucking their pets and playing with their own feces so why concern yourself with whether your posts are funny? Just post it.
