If you really love him and want your relationship to work, you have to move past what happened. Has he made great efforts to help you reestablish your trust in him? If you feel that you can no longer trust him, then it may not work out.
My ex did the same thing and managed to patch things up between us. I stayed with him, but I left a few years later when he started to engage in his old habits again. I feel like I wasted my life on that jerk.
Do what will make you happy and give you the best quality of life. If you really want to be with him, be willing to work through this challenge. It will not be easy. Best of luck to you.
