Have you tried to do anything with his mum like invite her to dinner or something, if she sees you trying she might relax a little bit, if not she probably isn't fond of you... Sorry. But that doesn't mean it should be the end of the world, speak to your boyfriend and explain how your feeling, and maybe try to spend I dunno one or two nights a week with each other... He will side with his mum at the end of the day so don't try to come between them, just be civil with her and hopefully she'll learn that your in for the long haul...
