Is it normal that I'm going against my family to be with my boyfriend

I am Indian and have to say family comes first. But break away from your family for a guy. Better would be you must calmly let them know how great he treats you n you're capable of taking your decisions. They'll come around sometime later if not earlier. be with the guy but don't abandon your family. Family stands by you when you need them n they're what you will have later too
