Otherwise, sure it's normal to be attracted to people and it's perfectly okay. This happens throughout your life. You'll find plenty of other women with brains, probably in university (which is probably where your teacher came from).
I've been attracted to a university professor who was 20 years older than me, and other weird attractions that have lasted more than a year that were forbidden. You grow and you change, you meet lots of people and now those former attractions of mine seem insignificant. Just be open to meeting people and having interesting conversations and new experiences.
