You are just like I was. It is normal, but you must go see a Doctor immediately.
You have Depression, possibly the same form that I do. Your highs are lows, and your lows are severe. Depression not only makes you feel helpless, sad, and all the other things you described, but it also makes you physically ill as well. I was sick for more than 2 years, just as you described, before they diagnosed me. I was put on several different meds before they found one that worked, and eventually I was slowly taken off of the meds and can now live and function happily without them.
Also, the weight gain could be due to a thyroid issue, which also makes the depression 1,000 times worse than it would normally be.
Go to the doctor and ask them about antidepressants as well as a blood test to check out your thyroid (as well as blood pressure, blood sugar, etc).
Is it normal that I'm always depressed/sick?
