I'm 18 and i'm pretty much in the same situation, i think the advice from people about being patient is all we can really do and as we haven't seemed to have much bad feedback from people maybe it is as not reading the signals. I have an example, i had my prom a couple of weeks ago and at the venue everyone was able to be served because everyone was pretty much eighteen ( i'm from England). So most people were pretty drunk and that's when i found out on that one night from two particular guys themselves that they had at different points had big crushs on me through the years and i had on them to , so i guess you might be like me a bit shy who has never read things right, good luck.
