    How extroverted were your friends? I know from experience sometimes who you hang out with can hold you back. For half my schooling years all my friends were really extroverted and loud, and my female friends were outrageous flirts so I never really got noticed. In the second half I was at a new school and most of my friends were gay/lesbian as well as being very extroverted. Our group was just "that group of gay kids that hang out near the art room" and so I was just lumped under that category.

    Try going somewhere without your friends(your attention seeking friends anyway) or if you're really into a relationship try online dating

      Your group sounds like a pretty nice place to be. Maybe it's because I'm thinking of The Perks of Being a Wallflower, but your group sounds nice.
