I totally agree. But also I have to confess that I like the smell of rubber. Maybe chewing rubber provoques a brain response as it confuses it with the act of eating (it can resemble chweing meat). In your case, your brain may have already associated the smell of rubber with a near future reward. I bet you salivate from smelling rubber.
Is it normal that I love to eat rubber?
