If you force him to do this it is most likely that he will just end up resenting you for putting him in a relationship he didn't want to be in in the first place. It will make you easier for him to blame if something goes wrong and get angry at you.
I agree with sexytime, you should try to meet someone new, who knows, he mightstart to miss you.
You can't force these things, you have to wait for him.
