If I were you, I'd find that level of obsession upsetting. If I were him, I might find it too full on and want to distance myself from you. Either way it's not great.
Hopefully the feelings will die down somewhat and reach a normal, manageable level, where you don't feel like the world will end if he doesn't reply to your text in 3 minutes.
