    I don't think the colour of your own skin really has much impact on your preferences. There's no rule that everyone has to like the things that are most similar to them. I most certainly haven't limited myself to white European stock and I can't see that I ever will.

      It doesn't always, but it definitely can if you're racist. I've talked to other white people who aren't attracted to black people for definitely racist reasons. I'm not saying that being attracted to people of certain races is always racist (I don't think you can really help it?), but I've talked to people who it's pretty obvious with.

        I wonder whether it's two different forces at work. Whether racists would still find people of other races attractive but be so screwed up inside that they could never bring themselves to admit it. Perhaps not even to themselves.

          I think that's what's happening, yeah. Some people think that interracial relationships are gross, which is confusing to me. Maybe they think black people are sticky? I can't really wrap my head around it.
