I've actually seen and heard of this many times. I sometimes wear makeup and sometimes I don't. The thing is, I am unattractive but I do have big beautiful brown eyes. So I liked to enhance them in hopes that I can try and look at least cute. I don't have to be hot or sexy but at least passable.
What I have noticed is that when I do wear makeup, the guys I know will say "It's nice seeing you get dolled up sometimes." So I have to wonder if some guys do like makeup on girls. If they absolutely hated it they wouldn't say that. Either that or I am so ugly that guys would rather see me with makeup than without. I kind of wonder if that is some sort of hint telling me I need to wear makeup.
For me, I think if a girl wants to wear makeup then she should without someone commenting that she shouldn't. Even if someone thinks she is too beautiful for it, if she likes it then why stop her? It's her face to do what she wants with and I think it's just as insulting to tell her she shouldn't as it is to tell her she should.
