8 years. Well, I'm sick of it. He doesn't like me more than a friend and even when I can controll my mind, my heart does the service and remind me of him. I don't know what to do. The best thing? He lives next to me, so I keep seeing him every single day.
Did you ever tell him about your feelings? If you haven't, talk to him about it. You will feel much better once he confirms his feelings with you, and that'll make it easier for you to accept him as nothing more then a friend. It's human nature that people want to be more then friends with people they care about, and maybe you'll get over these feelings, or maybe you won't. If you can't get over these feelings, you'll just have to keep it to yourself and keep your interests separate from his.

Well, I told him about my feelings. What happened? He liked me too.
He was my boyfriend for 6 days - lovely days. He broke up with me yesterday. Of course, my hearth is broken and I want to see him but I wouldn't change a thing that I did.
I still love him and I don't think I will stop someday because, if I did, it wasn't love in the first place. Maybe, someday, he'll came back to me. I know, I will get better with the time.
Just saying that, well, for you that passed the same as I, say to him/her. Say it with all your hearth and be happy. Maybe you get a happy ending.
Be prepared because the things never will be as you imagine them.
