So the writer does not give an age,,, So if he is 12 yrs old you all still feel the same ? If he is still living in his parents house then the parents have the right to search his room if they suspect something. If he is 21 and still lives in parents house, they reserve that right as well. To call the police may have been their last resort, I have a nephew going thru that same type of situation and his mother DOES search his room if she feels its needed. (hes 18). The above comments that tell people to try and hide it better I dont agree with. If you had a bf/gf or husband/wife that was doing herion, crack, hash, or just shootin up or smoking whatever they could get their hands on, Would you want them to learn to hide it even if they are destroying themself ? If you REALLY LOVE someone you want the best for them in life and you cant stand by and know in your heart they are killing themself.
