  • People are born gay, but you think they shouldn't marry? What is next? People in wheel chairs, born that way, fuck them they can't get married.

    • Very seperate things, i'm not sure how other than the word "gay" that they are connected.

Yes i think they shouldn't marry due to the institution of marriage being a religious one, one that clearly states they aren't aloud to marry. But i also know that being gay isn't a choice as i don't have anything against them as people and studied Psychology and sexual development.

So yes i'm against it for imposing on a religious law (something outsiders shouldn't do to any religion). But not because i'm anti-gay as i'm quite happy for them to be gay. Not everyone in the world is black and white, sorry.

      • So since it is a religious thing, should a straight atheist couple not be allowed to get married?

        • Yes certainly, the reason being that the church has always allowed that. Because non believers will one day find god in the eyes of the church, god rejects gays in their religion. I think it's silly too, but i'm not going to force my beliefs on their traditions am i.

          • I still find that marriage has become a government issue and not a religious one. If you just have a church wedding with no paper work you are not really married. If you just fill out the paper work with no wedding at all you are really married. Seems to me that legal marriage has nothing to do with religion anymore.

            • no it doesnt its all about money now . It was originlly a holy union designed by Christians to bond a man and a women but now the goverment seems to have taken hold of it and made it just another money scheme .

              • Before it was about Religion it was about money too. Such as trading a bride for 2 goats and a hat.

            • It's not a governmental issue, but overly dumb liberals have made it one. Next they'll want to legalise child molestation. Humans need control, order, and religions to function. Not selfish liberal idiots who say yes to anything just to feel better about themselves, i used to think that way, then i woke up and started thinking.

              • When it effects visitation rights in hospitals, health insurance, childcare and much much more (actually about 1,000 rights granted to married couples by the federal GOVERNMENT)

It is indeed a legal issue, which is why you need government paperwork to make the marriage valid.

It would be perfectly acceptable to separate gay marriages from religious institutions and everyone just go about their merry way.

Also, you might wanna read up on logical fallacies. Just sayin. ;P
