I love the feeling of being high from marijuana more than being drunk on alcohol. Is it normal that I like an illegal substance more?

    Extremely normal. If you get hooked then its easier to sober up and stop smoking. But alcoholics become homeless people with a destroyed life because they chose alcohol over soberness and family.Sources: Life.
