The part that is not normal is having to wear only what others have decided you should like and wear. By nature, we each have our own personality with our own set of perspectives and tastes. For personal items, such as apparel, nature made it possible for a person to choose the items they want to adorn their appearance. For others to dictate what they want everyone to wear, violates this natural procedure and the act of making others do something is another form of bullying and/or enslavement.
