Wow... Lots of knee jerk, Pavlovian style reactions here that are completely uncalled for.

Regardless of the acidity of the above comments, the author's question is perfectly valid and exceedingly common in young males and females and even young adults.

Sex and mature genitalia are foreign to children and because they are inherently very, VERY curious about something that is a very important subject/topic/activity for adults, they inherently wish to learn.

Unfortunately it's a very squeamish topic for adults and parents because of laws, social taboo and instinct. However, just because the subject is uncomfortable to deal with doesn't make children less curious and denying them the knowledge (not the experience!) usually causes them to seek out information on their own.

When they do, their naivety, more often than not, puts them in harms way and can expose them to thing that they are just not prepared for physically, mentally and emotionally.

Just like this author's question, probably seen as a genuine and innocent question (assuming it's genuine) by the poster, has nothing but degrading, insulting and hateful comments that attack him/her for simply being curious.

If you are female just take off your lothes and join him and try to have sex with him then and there.

So, moving onward to actually answer the authors question; YES, you ARE normal for wanting to see another mature male naked REGARDLESS if you are male or female. You're curious about something that is inherently shrouded in secrecy.

If you're young enough to be either entering or into puberty, it's even more normal, it's expected. You're starting to change and develop into an adult and to want to "look ahead" see what the end result will be either for yourself or your for the opposite sex is completely normal.

People won't like me saying this, but depending on your age again, enjoying seeing a naked adult is ALSO normal as your body is just beginning to "accept" sexual feelings, emotions and sensations. It's a very progressive biological process that you'll learn to live and work with as you mature.

Now, that said, it is generally considered fairly rude to 'peep' or look at someone else naked and it's also even more inappropriate to do so to your parents/siblings.

Because of the diversity of the humans species, not everyone has the built-in instinct "safe guards" that are designed to avert sexual interest in close relatives, sibling and parents and the "problem" has been increasing over the last 10 years and many (most?) psychologists are aware of this increase.

So, while it IS normal to feel the way you do for a short time, I would suggest avoiding actively seeking out instances where you see your dad naked (of course accidents still do happen).

If after a few months, your desires to see your father naked grow stronger instead of fading, I would suggest bringing this up to your mother (or father if you do not have a mom) and even suggest you see a "real life" professional that should be able to aid in averting an attraction that is not accepted in society and could cause a great deal of emotional and legal turmoil for you both.

It's just a path you really shouldn't take for a number of reasons.

Of course, even among psychologists, these numbers are always placed under sceptically because of the tendency of people to not be 100% truthful, the nature of studies and questionnaires and the estimates that as little as 2% of cases are actually reported. So, the numbers could be higher or lower due to the lack of information available.

So, it COULD be a reporting error, but the odds of that error increasing year after year for the past 12 years is fairly slim.

You are quite correct in that this issue is of some significance, however it's largely been kept very quiet on the public front and instead has been regulated to the professional circles due to the taboo nature. It is unlikely that you will ever see an "official" news report about the increasing prevalence of incest.

The winner of American Idol, the next episode of lost or the next time a singer trips and falls down a flight of stairs is significantly more "newsworthy".

On what stats do you base the assertion that the problem is increasing, specifically in the last decade? I think it would be very interesting if it was not just reporting error - a substantial increase in incest in a decade is very significant, of what I dunno but significant!
