I don't know about that. That is just plain jumping to conclusions and you don't even KNOW this person. I like to meditate and I asked myself "What would it feel like if I were a tree?" (I know I'm not a tree). I meditated for 30 minutes 2 weeks ago and it was a wonderful experience for me to imagine I was a tree. But I'm not schizophrenic and I don't hear voices, I don't see people or things that are not there and I don't smell things that are not there. Delusions are believing you are something that you are not. If I were to say "Did you know that I'm Porky Pig" or "I'm Ray Charles" and if I went around town, around my house acting as if I was one of them, and if I even TALKED like them, and If I tried to convince others that I was that person, that is delusional thinking. And I think that is what you are asking "is this person delusional?" I don't think so.
There is a difference between pretending to be a cucumber and actually BELIEVING he/she is a cucumber. The later is part of Schizophrenia. I would NEVER make that claim or even suggest that a person has a diagnosis like that for someone that I have never meet. And I'm not a MD, so why would I even think of saying something like that when I'm not an MD?
There is a big huge mental health stigma especially around Schizophrenia and it is a little sad that you added a little to it by your comment. I understand the question was a little out there, but I like to read questions with compassion. My original comment is below.
Is it normal that I like to pretend to be a cucumber?
