Is it normal that I like to look at people?

I sometimes do this when I am bored especially in college. It has kind of became a staring battleground between me and one of my fellow classmates. I usualy stare at everyone individually in my class but she seems to be one of the ones I stare at while she is staring at me and so we have a stare down.
