Is it normal that i like to be an outcast?

Ever since Elementary School, I have liked being out of the 'normal' world. I've often been picked on by others, which I belive might be one thing.

I ussually try not to act like the crowd, but never act against it just because the crowd votes for it.

I have several disorders(Multiple personalities, Restless Leg Syndrom, ADHD, etc.), so I ussually try to remain out of general sight to avoid getting myself noticed.

So, I must ask the question: Is it normal to like being an outsider?

Is It Normal?

  • It's totally normal to enjoy being different from the "regular crowd." I have always been a rebel and will continue to be one! Try researching underground movements (such as the cannabis reform movement) and listen to some rebellious bands such as Rise Against to get some inspiration to keep fighting the power! I recommend "Food Inc." as a good documentary to watch to help you find ways to continue being a popular culture fighter!

  • You're fine, but don't be a douche about it. Just be you without ever going out of your way to be an outsider.

  • I like to be an outsider. I have friends but got them because of that. the way I see it the people that will bother paying attention to me are going to be good friends (and as it turned out they are), and everybody else who ignores me I don't care.

  • Sometimes it's a good thing. You can develop your OWN personality instead of being what you are told is "cool" to be. Just continue being you and be proud!
