It's normal but I wouldn't recommend letting it get past "LIKING". When I was 14, I dated a guy that was 20 (now I'M 20). Let me tell you, that relationship was the worst ever and not just because of the age difference. Even at my age now, I wouldn't date someone online. It usually turns out to be a disaster. It can work but it requires a lot of time and effort that is hard to put in due to distance. And you also run the risk of this person lying to you (i.e. my online boyfriend was a drug dealer).
