The part about being too clean weakening your system is true, but if introducing dangerous germs to your body only increased it, no one would ever get sick.
I assume it takes several generations but there are in fact 2 types of species: the hygienic ones such as bees who avoid bacteria and are easily killed by them and the immune ones who can take up lots of bacterial threats. Not sure about a very good example though.

I think on the contrary if you solicit it a lot it can only become stronger. It's excessively hygienic individuals who weaken theirs.
