I always wonder what goes through a parent's mind when they name a child something like "Moonglow" or "Dweezil". Not that I think the two names you've chosen are bad, at all, but just the thought of hanging a name on a kid that will get them so much negative attention in school, seems cruel and pointless.
An interesting and imaginative name does not have to be oddball.
Right, first you said that you don't think the names are bad, but then you go on to say that some names give kids negative attention in school. Just the way you say it in the same sentence makes it seem like the two are connected (not that this was your intention).
It was not. I guess I just carried on with the thought, after I'd answered you post.
The odd name thing has always been a bit of a "thing" to me, as I consider it a cruel thing to do to a kid.
So, let me be clear; Sebastian for a boy and Valentina for a girl are just fine, sorry for the mix up.
I think the names are okay ( I say okay as I only really like the sound of two names) but I did know a kid called Sebastian at school, I never understood it but he got picked on because people said it sounded like a lesbian's name.
It wasn't a very good school.
Is it normal that I like Sebastian and Valentina as baby names

I don't get what's not normal about these names.

I like the names. I want Charlotte for a girl name and Charlie for a boy name if I get kids.
