Corona is pretty bland. I know you're supposed to put lime and salt in it, or make cocktails with it, but in my mind it's a bit like going to a restaurant and cooking the side dish, salad and starter yourself, while the real chef only prepares the main course. It's rubbish.
A beer needs to be complete the moment you open it.
I've never tried Australian beer (would like to try some), but I was amazed to find good Japanese beers. Unlike any other beer I've tasted, but very nice. Very rich flavor, orange color, not as fizzy as European beer, but still very nice. Also Italian beers... very decent, very fresh. Not expected from a wine country.
I love beer and I love trying beers from various countries. In Bulgaria, you can buy beer from pretty much everywhere in more expensive stores. In Germany, you can only get foreign beer in good foreign restaurants. Supermarkets and stores only stock local and more known German beer.
Naturally, my world beer hunt doesn't go smoothly all the time. Russian, Slovakian and Romanian beers are garbage, so are Chinese beers. Mass produced American beer is trash, but I am sure there are smaller breweries out there that make good beer. Anyway, to me the test is a vital and fun part to the whole beer tasting thing.
Even if I've had a bad beer, I don't get moody, or angry. It's how a certain country/ culture make beer and it's interesting. I take mental notes and move on.
You get it...I'm a huge beer head even though I rarely drink. Japanese beer is pretty good.
American "craft beer" has just exploded though. Our popular beer is obviously garbage, but damn there's been a microbrew revolution...you can get anything from weird flavoured stouts, hazy ipas, double ipas, sours...just any nuts beer you can think of. It's led to tons of awful beers, tbh...just people trying to make the weirdest shit possible (miss me on banana bread flavoured stouts) to people trying to cram the highest abv in beer they horribly can...looking at you dogfish head 120 min ipa (20% alcohol)...
But damn we have good beer & aussie beer is just garbage. It's FINE, but not good...and fuck a single beer costs $6 AUD at the liquor store, not a restaurant, which is why their beer sucks butts
But damn I miss American beer...prairie bombs 4 life
But I agree you shouldn't get mad if you've had a beer coz you just had a beer. But no beer from oceania...NZ beer sucks too, but at least those assholes can poor a proper pint
A "Schooner" exists in AUS & it's a goddamn crime against humanity...

No, that shit is trash. Man, there's so many amazing beers in this world. That's one thing that I miss when I'm in Australia. They have no good beer.
