It's not really being a masochist. Masochistic behavior is moreso enjoying forms of abuse and getting satisfaction out of being treated poorly, like being in a verbal or physically abusive relationship and feeling aroused by this and consciously choosing to stay, or enjoying this treatment.
Trolls, or people who play the role of a "villain" and enjoy "negative" reactions to their comments are different, they are enjoying getting a rise out of people and find this is a way to release their aggressive behavior, online, with the luxuries of being anonymous and having no repercussions for their actions and comments.
